During the sharecropping era on the plantation each family was assigned so much land to cultivate based on the number of individuals able to do the work. In some instances blacks and whites worked together in harvesting the crops.

I am very interested in the relationships between white sharecroppers and african american sharecroppers. Was there discrimination on these plantations between workers? Did they work together? Thank you so much
